Aztec Geometry Biodegradable Case

The Design
This case carries four motifs that run through Aztec and Maya architecture and cosmology, arranged as one continuous field. The stepped pyramid reads as a sacred mountain and a path between earth and sky; the radiating sun stone is drawn from the Aztec calendar stone and stands for the cycles of time; the stepped-fret spiral — one of Mesoamerica's most recognisable marks — signals wind, movement and the union of opposites; the diamond lattice speaks to an ordered cosmos and the four cardinal directions.
None of it is printed. The whole pattern is a same-colour 3D relief pressed into the shell, so it reads as texture in the hand and never fades, chips or peels. The base material is natural wheat straw blended with a biodegradable resin — matte, lightly flexible, and speckled with fine natural wheat-bran flecks that are part of the material, not a finish.
