The Design
In Spain, gifts arrive with the Three Kings on 6 January. This design shows a king riding a camel, built from small broken-tile pieces in the spirit of trencadís, the mosaic technique associated with Gaudí, in reds, golds and browns.
The front is printed in full colour and covered with a clear epoxy resin dome. Once cured, the surface is glossy and slightly raised, with light reflecting along the edges, and a thin white border frames the design.
On the back, a flexible black magnet sheet is bonded to the piece and follows the same outline, so the back sits flat on a fridge or metal surface. The piece measures 62.3 × 75.7 mm (2.5 × 3.0 in). The minimum order is 2,000 pcs.
