The Design
Barro negro — Oaxaca's hand-carved black-clay pottery — is one of Mexico's most important craft traditions, its surfaces typically carved with birds, florals and geometric swirls in a rustic, hand-worked style. This case takes that same bird-among-vines motif and gives it a bolder, simpler line than a Talavera tile pattern, adding textural range to the collection.
