The Design
Christmas in Argentina falls in midsummer, celebrated outdoors with a toast at midnight. This design puts a dachshund in a Santa hat and sunglasses on a striped deck chair, glasses raised, beside a slice of pan dulce, with the Buenos Aires skyline, the Obelisco, fireworks and jacaranda blossoms behind — framed in the gold scrollwork of filete porteño, the city's UNESCO-listed decorative painting tradition.
The case is made with IMD in-mold decoration: the printed film is fused into the shell during molding, so the artwork sits under a smooth glossy surface instead of on top of it — it won't scratch off, fade or peel with daily use. The design doesn't stop at the back edge; it wraps continuously around the curved side frame, so the case reads as one piece of art from every angle.
A fine silver glitter lining sits inside the shell and catches the light through the clear areas.
