The Design
Glazed ceramic tilework arrived in Seville in the 15th century by way of Mudéjar craftsmen, and it has stayed the core material language of Andalusian architecture ever since — covering palace walls, courtyards and public buildings alike. This case reproduces a repeating cobalt-blue-and-gold floral medallion pattern, hand-painted-style, rather than a flattened single tile.
The tile pattern is printed in full colour directly onto the shell, then sealed under a specialty UV-cured resin coating for a glossy, dimensional finish. Gold and silver foil glitter flakes are set throughout the clear resin body — static, not liquid — and the soft-base body underneath stays firm and solid to the touch.
