The Design
The nopal cactus sits at the centre of Mexico's coat of arms and its everyday cooking. The print sets flowering nopal pads among symmetrical folk flowers in the style of Otomi embroidery, in pink, orange, yellow and green on deep navy. This is the design of our physical sample.
The blanket is built in three layers: a printed polyester pongee top with a light sheen, a polyester wadding middle for a soft seat, and a black Oxford-fabric back that hides grass and dust. Both sides are diamond-quilted, and a black binding runs around the edge.
At the middle of one short edge sits a rounded flap with a black webbing handle. Fold the blanket into a flat square, close the flap over it with the hook-and-loop strip, and carry it like a bag. Size 150 × 200 cm; MOQ 100 pcs per design.
